Looking for a travel consultant, interpreter, media fixer or customized Taiwan Tour?
I started doing customized Taiwan tours in 2015 with Washington-based Bicycle Adventures, planning and co-leading two tours around the island in the autumn of that year.
These are some photos of that trip:
I am currently acting as Editor-in-chief for Taiwan Scene, the publishing arm of MyTaiwanTour, one of Taiwan’s largest travel agencies focused on inbound travel in Taiwan. While the job keeps me busy researching and writing, I still act as travel consultant for groups looking for unique, personalized experiences incorporating cycling, cuisine, culture, hiking, art, serious urban exploration and more.
I also act as interpreter, fixer and co-host for TV crews filming in Taiwan.
In May, 2018 I acted as interpreter and fixer for Maximus Film from Germany (story pending as soon as the link is online) as they explored the peculiar culinary world of Uncle Goats, a unique restaurant in Chiayi with perhaps the most brutal (brutal for the chef; the animals are killed humanely) cooking method I’ve ever heard of. And in March of 2018 I acted as co-host for Taiwan’s own Follow Alana. Links and stories to follow.
I also work as liaison and personal guide for bloggers, writers and social media influencers looking to discover Taiwan. Check out this video, one of several made by William Tang of Going Awesome Places, who I & MyTaiwanTour had the pleasure of showing around Taiwan on his recent Taiwan Tourism Bureau sponsored trip.
In addition to working with William as part of the Taiwan Travel Bureau/MyTaiwanTour 2017 Taiwan Tour, I also worked with a number of other bloggers and social media experts, including Jacki Ueng (The Bohemian Vagabond), Chelsea Pearl (http://chelseapearl.com) and several others.
